Walking With God

We read in Colossians 2:6 that when we receive Jesus Christ and dedicate our lives to Him, then we are to walk as He walked.

In John 8:12 Jesus called Himself the Light of the world. Ephesians 5:8 tells us to walk as children of the Light.  Walk the narrow path according to Matthew 7:1, for the wide path leads to destruction.

The Bible is our road map for every day living. Scripture teaches us to be honest and not lie or steal or hate. We are to be people of integrity like Jesus. Lets not just talk the talk but walk the walk.  Psalm 26:11 says that as for me I will walk in integrity. Psalm 27:11 we read that we can ask God to teach us His way and ask Him to lead us in the right path. His Holy Spirit will guide us and help us make the right decisions. In life we also go through difficult times but the Lord is there to comfort us on life's journey. Psalm 23:4 says that even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we will fear not evil for God is with us.  Have a close and personal relationship with Christ. Personally talk to Him and feel His love and peace. Don't just know of Him, but know Him personally.

Luke 24:15-32 we read about Jesus walking with two men who talked to Christ but did not really recognize Him. As you go about your day truly fellowship with Him. There is an old hymn with the words of, "I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses and He walks with me and talks with me and tells me I am His own and the joy we share as we tarry there, no other has ever known.

Depend on God

2 Chronicles 19:2 Jehu the seer confronted Jehoshaphat for depending on king Ahab who was not a godly man. Today I pray we will depend upon God and not man or government or money. These things can be taken away from you at any time. Believe that Christ died on the cross and shed His precious blood for our sins and rose again.

His Holy Spirit can live in your heart and give you peace, comfort, guidance and much more.

Depend on God to avenge you. Proverbs 20:22 tells us we are not to try to get even but wait on the Lord and He shall avenge. We read in Ester 3:6 that Haman who attacked Mordecai was destroyed. Deuteronomy 32:35 says that vengeance belongs to God. Romans 12:17 tells us that if anyone does you wrong, don't repay him with wrong. 19, Never take revenge but instead let God's anger do it for the Scripture says "'I will take revenge and pay back' says the Lord." Genesis 4:10 God asked Abel what he had done for his brother's blood cries out to God from the ground. Today Christ wants people to let go of any anger or unforgiveness and surrender all to Him.

Walk in peace and freedom and trust and depend on God.

Christ Dwelling Within

So many people today are filled with emptiness and loneliness. Jesus Christ can fill your heart with His Holy Spirit. He can give you peace and comfort and companionship. Ephesians 3:19, "Know the love of Christ and be filled with all the fullness of God."

John 15:11 "His joy can fill your hearts and minds."  Do not fill your mind with fear and depression but personally talk to Jesus throughout the day and sense His Presence and Friendship. He can be your Mighty God and close Friend.

Ephesians 5:18 says that we can be filled with His Spirit. Colossians 1:9 says that we can be filled with His wisdom and knowledge. Revelation 3:20 says that He stands at the door and knocks, and if any man hears His voice and opens the door He will come in and fellowship with him.

Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins and rose again. Ask Him to forgive you and open the door of your heart and invite Him into your heart. With Christ dwelling within, you can have greater peace and joy.

Wake Up Church

In Revelation 3:15, 16 we read that God warned the people of being lukewarm and complacent. We are not to lose our zeal for the Lord. We are not to be like salt that looses its flavor. We are to be like a light that is not hid but shines brightly for Christ.  In Isaiah 52:1, 2, God said to the people that they were to wake up and clothe themselves with strength and put on their beautiful garments. He called them to be holy and not yield to sin.

The Church is not to be asleep to the things of God. Isaiah 62:6 says that He has set watchmen upon the walls which shall never hold their peace day or night. They are not to keep silent but proclaim Jesus Christ. Today we are to pray fervently and witness to the lost and lonely. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 4:7 that the end of all things is at hand, so we are to be serious and watch and pray. We can enjoy our walk with the Lord for He gives us peace and joy and abundant life, but we are to be dedicated to Christ and His work.

1 Corinthians 15:34 tells us to awake to righteousness. God calls His followers to be holy and live a life of honesty and integrity. Romans 12:1, 2, tells us not to conform to this world's ungodly ways and ideas. Read and believe the Bible for it is our road map for daily living. 1 Corinthians 16:13 says that we are to watch, stand fast in the faith and be dedicated and strong. In John 10:27 Jesus said that He sheep hear His voice and they follow Him. I pray our ears and hearts will be open and wakened to hear what the Spirit says. Revelation 2:29, Be awake to hear.

Security

People are looking for security in money, job position or an individual.

We can find true security in Jesus Christ. He will never leave us and give up on us. Hebrews 13:6 tells us that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper and I will not fear. Psalm 112:7 says that we are not to be afraid but we are to trust in the Lord. We read in Job 11:18 that we can be secure because there is hope. When we believe in Christ and ask Him to forgive us He will. We will grow in wisdom and strength each day as we read the Bible. These are God's holy unchangeable words to us. Personally talk to Jesus throughout the day and be lead by His Holy Spirit.  We do not need to be fearful and anxious.

When we have security in Christ we experience His peace and confidence. There is so much turmoil in the world today. Matthew 7:27 tells us that we are to be like a solid house build on firm foundation which is Jesus Christ. When the storms of life come we will not be destroyed. Our trust and security is in the Lord. Knowing you are loved by God brings security and peace.
