Tabernacle with God

The Israelites built little tabernacles, booths, huts to live in after they left Egypt and dwelt in the wilderness. God wants to tabernacle with us.

Feast of Tabernacles; a Jewish festival is celebrated for around 7 days starting around October 17th, 2016. Leviticus 23:34 God told Moses to tell the people that the feast of tabernacles will be for 7 days.  "And 42, 43 you shall dwell in booths 7 days to remind the Isaelites that I brought them out of Egypt."

Let's remember also what God has brought us out of and celebrate His goodness and mercy.  I have been to Israel during the Feast of Tabernacles and it is a very joyous time. Homes and places of worship are lit with candles representing to us believers Jesus the Light of the world.

Also representing the glory of God, in Exodus 13:21, the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud and led them by night by a pillar of fire. The Glory of God wants to hover over us. During this time the Holy Spirit wants to pour upon us, reviving and awakening and convicting us. During this time in Israel people call out for an outpouring of rain to water the land. This can also be a prayer for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

God wants to tabernacle with us. John 15 talks about us abiding in Christ and He in us. Psalm 91:1, 2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress my God in Him will I trust.  Isaiah 51:16 And I have put My words in your mouth and covered you in the shadow of My hand.

Close yourself in with God for He wants to be close to His people. Matthew 6:6 talks about going into your prayer closet and meeting with your Savior. Let Christ know how thankful you are and how much you love Him.

Have a Thankful Heart and Attitude

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Dont grumble and complain and think on the negative but look for God's goodness and blessings.

Philippians 4:6 tells us that we are not to fret or be anxious but pray with thanksgiving.
7 Then we will have the peace of God in our heart and mind. So many people have troubled and tormented minds. God wants us to think on Him instead and the beauty around us. Philippians 4:8 tells us to think on things that are good and lovely and pure.

Revelation 7:11 tells us that the angels in heaven stood around the throne of God worshiping and saying "Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be unto our God for ever and ever".

In l Chronicles 16:7-36 David was so grateful that the ark was brought to them signifying the holiness of God that he offered praise to God Almighty. Every day walk with a thankful heart and tell others about Jesus. Tell them He died on the cross and shed His precious Blood for the forgiveness of our sins and rose again. People need to know they can know Him personally.

Purpose in your heart with the help of the Holy Spirit to BE THANKFUL.

God's Goodness

Psalm 31:19
Oh how great is Thy goodness which you have laid up for those that fear, honor, respect and trust in You.  Every day purpose to look for the goodness of God. He wants to give us special gifts each day to encourage us. In these gifts are messages from Him. They could be a smile or kind act. Romans 2:4 says that the goodness of God leads to repentance.

At times individuals feel they failed God and they don't deserve God's goodness. When they see God displaying His love toward them their heart is touched and they can weep with gratitude and draw nearer to Him asking God to forgive them.

Romans 15:13 says that the God of all hope fill you with joy and peace in believing and that you abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Every day thank God for His love and goodness. When we ask Him into our
hearts and truly believe in Him and the Holy Bible then His Holy Spirit will fill our hearts with His comfort, peace, strength, joy and much more.

Jewish New Year

Psalm l04:l
Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. l4 he causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; that he may bring forth food out of the earth. 24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom has thou made them all; the earth is full of thy riches. 30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit they are created; and thou renewest the face of the earth. 3l The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever; the Lord shall rejoice in His works. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 34 My meditation of him shall be sweet; I will be glad in the Lord. Declare God's greatness. Declare that He is All Powerful, Mighty
King, Judge, Saviour.

October 3 is significant, for it is the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana or Feast of Trumpets; the blowing of the Ram's horn. Declaring God is Great. The trumpet sound calls people to repentance, to wake up from sin and lukewarmness to rise up. The horn also reminds us of Abrahams willingness to obey God and give up his son but God provided a ram. Jesus Christ became our supreme sacrifice; the Lamb of God who died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins and rose again.

Believe in Him and the Holy Bible and personally talk to Him throught the day. He will help you though His Holy Spirit to live a llife of integrity pleasing unto Him.  When we accept Him then we are written in the Lamb's book of life and are assured of a home in heaven. Rosh Hashana is a joyous time of
rejoicing and thanksgiving feasting on choice foods and apple and honey signifing a sweet New Year.
