New Year, New Things

Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass and NEW things do I declare, before they spring forth I tell you of them. 10, Sing unto the Lord a NEW song. Isaiah 48:6b Now I will tell you NEW things I have not mentioned before, secrets you have not yet heard (Life Application Study Bible). Isaiah 43:19 For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun, 2 Corinthians 5:17. What this means is that those who become Christians become NEW persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone, a NEW life has begun! 18, All this NEWNESS of life is from God who brought us back to himself through what Christ did.

Each day is a NEW day with new peace and joy and new blessings from God. Know that this New year is a New beginning for you. The Holy Spirit will give you new revelation as you study the Word of God. You will have a new way of thinking and talking and seeing things through the eyes of God. Old attitudes and thinking have passed away so walk into the new things that God has prepared for you.  He has put a new song in your heart to praise Him.

Rejoice

We are uplifted when we read Isaiah 61:10, for it talks about greatly rejoicing in the Lord, and our soul shall be joyful in our God for He has clothed us with the garments of salvation and covered us with the robe of righteousness.

We can thank God for forgiving us of our sins and showing us how to live a life of integrity.

Jeremiah 15:16 says that when we study the Bible, joy and rejoicing will fill our hearts. These are God's words of life that bring hope and encouragement. People go through challenges in life but let us all keep trusting Christ.

Acts 5:41, and they departed from the presence of the council rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer for His name. These followers of Jesus were persecuted, but they had a deep joy and hope in their Savior.

In Acts 16:23, 25, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God in that prison cell. 1 Peter 4:12, 13 beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing happened unto you, but rejoice inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings. Psalm 126:5, they that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Psalm 16:11, God will show us the path of life, for in His presence is fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

We can be thankful for the Holy Spirit who gives us peace, joy and much more.

Walking With God

We read in Colossians 2:6 that when we receive Jesus Christ and dedicate our lives to Him, then we are to walk as He walked.

In John 8:12 Jesus called Himself the Light of the world. Ephesians 5:8 tells us to walk as children of the Light.  Walk the narrow path according to Matthew 7:1, for the wide path leads to destruction.

The Bible is our road map for every day living. Scripture teaches us to be honest and not lie or steal or hate. We are to be people of integrity like Jesus. Lets not just talk the talk but walk the walk.  Psalm 26:11 says that as for me I will walk in integrity. Psalm 27:11 we read that we can ask God to teach us His way and ask Him to lead us in the right path. His Holy Spirit will guide us and help us make the right decisions. In life we also go through difficult times but the Lord is there to comfort us on life's journey. Psalm 23:4 says that even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we will fear not evil for God is with us.  Have a close and personal relationship with Christ. Personally talk to Him and feel His love and peace. Don't just know of Him, but know Him personally.

Luke 24:15-32 we read about Jesus walking with two men who talked to Christ but did not really recognize Him. As you go about your day truly fellowship with Him. There is an old hymn with the words of, "I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses and He walks with me and talks with me and tells me I am His own and the joy we share as we tarry there, no other has ever known.

Depend on God

2 Chronicles 19:2 Jehu the seer confronted Jehoshaphat for depending on king Ahab who was not a godly man. Today I pray we will depend upon God and not man or government or money. These things can be taken away from you at any time. Believe that Christ died on the cross and shed His precious blood for our sins and rose again.

His Holy Spirit can live in your heart and give you peace, comfort, guidance and much more.

Depend on God to avenge you. Proverbs 20:22 tells us we are not to try to get even but wait on the Lord and He shall avenge. We read in Ester 3:6 that Haman who attacked Mordecai was destroyed. Deuteronomy 32:35 says that vengeance belongs to God. Romans 12:17 tells us that if anyone does you wrong, don't repay him with wrong. 19, Never take revenge but instead let God's anger do it for the Scripture says "'I will take revenge and pay back' says the Lord." Genesis 4:10 God asked Abel what he had done for his brother's blood cries out to God from the ground. Today Christ wants people to let go of any anger or unforgiveness and surrender all to Him.

Walk in peace and freedom and trust and depend on God.

Christ Dwelling Within

So many people today are filled with emptiness and loneliness. Jesus Christ can fill your heart with His Holy Spirit. He can give you peace and comfort and companionship. Ephesians 3:19, "Know the love of Christ and be filled with all the fullness of God."

John 15:11 "His joy can fill your hearts and minds."  Do not fill your mind with fear and depression but personally talk to Jesus throughout the day and sense His Presence and Friendship. He can be your Mighty God and close Friend.

Ephesians 5:18 says that we can be filled with His Spirit. Colossians 1:9 says that we can be filled with His wisdom and knowledge. Revelation 3:20 says that He stands at the door and knocks, and if any man hears His voice and opens the door He will come in and fellowship with him.

Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins and rose again. Ask Him to forgive you and open the door of your heart and invite Him into your heart. With Christ dwelling within, you can have greater peace and joy.

Wake Up Church

In Revelation 3:15, 16 we read that God warned the people of being lukewarm and complacent. We are not to lose our zeal for the Lord. We are not to be like salt that looses its flavor. We are to be like a light that is not hid but shines brightly for Christ.  In Isaiah 52:1, 2, God said to the people that they were to wake up and clothe themselves with strength and put on their beautiful garments. He called them to be holy and not yield to sin.

The Church is not to be asleep to the things of God. Isaiah 62:6 says that He has set watchmen upon the walls which shall never hold their peace day or night. They are not to keep silent but proclaim Jesus Christ. Today we are to pray fervently and witness to the lost and lonely. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 4:7 that the end of all things is at hand, so we are to be serious and watch and pray. We can enjoy our walk with the Lord for He gives us peace and joy and abundant life, but we are to be dedicated to Christ and His work.

1 Corinthians 15:34 tells us to awake to righteousness. God calls His followers to be holy and live a life of honesty and integrity. Romans 12:1, 2, tells us not to conform to this world's ungodly ways and ideas. Read and believe the Bible for it is our road map for daily living. 1 Corinthians 16:13 says that we are to watch, stand fast in the faith and be dedicated and strong. In John 10:27 Jesus said that He sheep hear His voice and they follow Him. I pray our ears and hearts will be open and wakened to hear what the Spirit says. Revelation 2:29, Be awake to hear.

Security

People are looking for security in money, job position or an individual.

We can find true security in Jesus Christ. He will never leave us and give up on us. Hebrews 13:6 tells us that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper and I will not fear. Psalm 112:7 says that we are not to be afraid but we are to trust in the Lord. We read in Job 11:18 that we can be secure because there is hope. When we believe in Christ and ask Him to forgive us He will. We will grow in wisdom and strength each day as we read the Bible. These are God's holy unchangeable words to us. Personally talk to Jesus throughout the day and be lead by His Holy Spirit.  We do not need to be fearful and anxious.

When we have security in Christ we experience His peace and confidence. There is so much turmoil in the world today. Matthew 7:27 tells us that we are to be like a solid house build on firm foundation which is Jesus Christ. When the storms of life come we will not be destroyed. Our trust and security is in the Lord. Knowing you are loved by God brings security and peace.

Tabernacle with God

The Israelites built little tabernacles, booths, huts to live in after they left Egypt and dwelt in the wilderness. God wants to tabernacle with us.

Feast of Tabernacles; a Jewish festival is celebrated for around 7 days starting around October 17th, 2016. Leviticus 23:34 God told Moses to tell the people that the feast of tabernacles will be for 7 days.  "And 42, 43 you shall dwell in booths 7 days to remind the Isaelites that I brought them out of Egypt."

Let's remember also what God has brought us out of and celebrate His goodness and mercy.  I have been to Israel during the Feast of Tabernacles and it is a very joyous time. Homes and places of worship are lit with candles representing to us believers Jesus the Light of the world.

Also representing the glory of God, in Exodus 13:21, the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud and led them by night by a pillar of fire. The Glory of God wants to hover over us. During this time the Holy Spirit wants to pour upon us, reviving and awakening and convicting us. During this time in Israel people call out for an outpouring of rain to water the land. This can also be a prayer for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

God wants to tabernacle with us. John 15 talks about us abiding in Christ and He in us. Psalm 91:1, 2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress my God in Him will I trust.  Isaiah 51:16 And I have put My words in your mouth and covered you in the shadow of My hand.

Close yourself in with God for He wants to be close to His people. Matthew 6:6 talks about going into your prayer closet and meeting with your Savior. Let Christ know how thankful you are and how much you love Him.

Have a Thankful Heart and Attitude

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Dont grumble and complain and think on the negative but look for God's goodness and blessings.

Philippians 4:6 tells us that we are not to fret or be anxious but pray with thanksgiving.
7 Then we will have the peace of God in our heart and mind. So many people have troubled and tormented minds. God wants us to think on Him instead and the beauty around us. Philippians 4:8 tells us to think on things that are good and lovely and pure.

Revelation 7:11 tells us that the angels in heaven stood around the throne of God worshiping and saying "Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be unto our God for ever and ever".

In l Chronicles 16:7-36 David was so grateful that the ark was brought to them signifying the holiness of God that he offered praise to God Almighty. Every day walk with a thankful heart and tell others about Jesus. Tell them He died on the cross and shed His precious Blood for the forgiveness of our sins and rose again. People need to know they can know Him personally.

Purpose in your heart with the help of the Holy Spirit to BE THANKFUL.

God's Goodness

Psalm 31:19
Oh how great is Thy goodness which you have laid up for those that fear, honor, respect and trust in You.  Every day purpose to look for the goodness of God. He wants to give us special gifts each day to encourage us. In these gifts are messages from Him. They could be a smile or kind act. Romans 2:4 says that the goodness of God leads to repentance.

At times individuals feel they failed God and they don't deserve God's goodness. When they see God displaying His love toward them their heart is touched and they can weep with gratitude and draw nearer to Him asking God to forgive them.

Romans 15:13 says that the God of all hope fill you with joy and peace in believing and that you abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Every day thank God for His love and goodness. When we ask Him into our
hearts and truly believe in Him and the Holy Bible then His Holy Spirit will fill our hearts with His comfort, peace, strength, joy and much more.

Jewish New Year

Psalm l04:l
Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. l4 he causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; that he may bring forth food out of the earth. 24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom has thou made them all; the earth is full of thy riches. 30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit they are created; and thou renewest the face of the earth. 3l The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever; the Lord shall rejoice in His works. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 34 My meditation of him shall be sweet; I will be glad in the Lord. Declare God's greatness. Declare that He is All Powerful, Mighty
King, Judge, Saviour.

October 3 is significant, for it is the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana or Feast of Trumpets; the blowing of the Ram's horn. Declaring God is Great. The trumpet sound calls people to repentance, to wake up from sin and lukewarmness to rise up. The horn also reminds us of Abrahams willingness to obey God and give up his son but God provided a ram. Jesus Christ became our supreme sacrifice; the Lamb of God who died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins and rose again.

Believe in Him and the Holy Bible and personally talk to Him throught the day. He will help you though His Holy Spirit to live a llife of integrity pleasing unto Him.  When we accept Him then we are written in the Lamb's book of life and are assured of a home in heaven. Rosh Hashana is a joyous time of
rejoicing and thanksgiving feasting on choice foods and apple and honey signifing a sweet New Year.

Trust in God

l Timothy 4:l0 we trust in the living God who is the Savior of all men.

Isaiah 3l:l Woe to them that trust in Egypt for help and horses and chariots because there are many but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel neither seek the Lord. 3 now the Egyptians are men and not God and their horses are flesh and not spirit.  Today it is important to put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

He is our Solid Rock, our firm Foundation. Matthew 7:24-28, Jesus tells us that we are to be doers of the Word and build our life on the teachings of Christ. We will be like a house with a good foundation and when the storms of life come we will not fall. There is an old hymn that many sang and some of the words were,

"On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand." Put your Trust in the Bible and read it daily for it is truly the holy words of God that never change.

Isaiah 30:l0 says that some  people want to hear only smooth words from prophets that will make them feel comfortable and not bring conviction or change. Personally talk to Jesus and be open and honest with Him about your attitude and feelings. Trust Him to show you areas in your life that are not pleasing to Him. You can confide in Him for He wants to make something beautiful out of your life. Trust Him for He is Savior, Healer, Comforter, Advisor, Joy Giver and much more. John l4;26,27 He gives a peace that this world cant give so do not let your heart be troubled or afraid. Trust Him today.

Prayer

Prayer changes us and situations around us. In Matthew 6:6 we are told that when we ener into
our prayer closet and shut the door and pray to our Father that we will be rewarded.

Prayer gives us peace. God does not want us to carry burdens of worry and fear. We are to give all our concerns to Him.

Christ wants us to walk close to Him and experience His peace. John l4:26 says that He will give us a peace that the world cant give so not to let our heart be troubled or fearful.

In l Kings l8:37 Elijah  was so concerned that the people  did not have a close relationship with God. He called out or cried out to God and asked God to turn their hearts back again.

We also want our friends and relatives to personally know Jesus Christ, the one who died on the cross and rose again. He is the only one that forgives us of our sins when we  are truly sorry.

Pray for those around you and have peace and faith the Holy Spirit is working in their hearts.

God's Goodness

Ecclesiastes 2:26 For God gives to a man that is good in His sight wisdom and knowledge and joy.
God is generous, kind, merciful and good. He loves us and wants to bless us. Proverbs 28:20 a faithful man shall abound with blessings.

Love God with all your heart and want to live a life pleasing in His sight. Be a person of integrity with high standards and morals.

Ephesians 4:l6-l9 talks about being filled with all the fullness of God. Empty yourself of all pride, envy, selfishness and anger and be filled with His peace and joy and wisdom. There are people today who do not acknowledge God or thank Him. They are selfcentered and focused only on self accomplishments. Revelation 3:l6, Because you are lukewarm l7 and say you are rich and increased with goods and have need of nothng, but know you are wretched and miserable, poor and blind  and empty.

Every day thank the Lord Jesus for His many blessings. Study and read uplifting words from the Holy Bible. These words will give you strength and wisdom for daily living. When you feel discouraged start to count your blessings and dwell on God's goodness.

Walking Close With God

2 Kings l8:6 Hezekiah clung to the Lord and departed not from following God and kept the Lords commandments.

Let us follow Hezekiah's example and walk close to God. Personally talking with Jesus Christ throughout the day and reading those encouraging words from the bible.  Joshua l:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth but you shall meditate on it day and night. Observe to do all that is written in the word for then you shall make your way to prosper and you will have good success.  Do not follow mans false teaching but follow God's words of truth.  The truth will set us free and keep us free.

l Samuel l5:22 and Samuel said that the Lord is more pleased with those who obey the voice of the Lord than all our sacrifices.

Acts 5:29 then Peter and the other apostles answered and said that they ought to obey God rather than men who would want to draw them away from following Christ. and His teachings.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and find strength, joy, comfort, wisdom, guidance

in His teachings.

Living Right

ll Chronicles 29 is the story of king Hezekiah of Jerusalem. We can learn from him about living right.

In verse 2 it says that he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord.  Romans 13:13 tells us to walk honestly not in rioting and drunkeness or arguring, strife or envying but 14 put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh.

II Chronicles 29:3 says that Hezekiah opened the doors of the house of the Lord and repaired them. Let us open up our hearts and ask the Holy Spirit to come in and repair and heal us. We can be totally open and honest with the Lord and want change. In Colossians 3:8-16 we read that we are to get rid of anger, and  speak only words that are pleasing to the Lord. Verse 12 reads that we are to show mercy, kindness and be humble and patient (15) and let the peace of God rule in your hearts and be thankful. and (16) let the Word of Christ dwell in you.

In ll Chronicles 29:5 the leaders were told to sanctify themselves and sanctify the house of the Lord God and carry the filthiness out of the holy place. ll Corinthians 7:1 God tells us to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in the fear of God. When we love God with all our heart then we also honor and respect him and want to do right. God blesses the righteous.

We have His Holy Spirit to help us when we believe in Christ. We are told in verses 25-29 that after they repented of their sins they worshpped God. When we come before the Lord and humbly ask Him to forgive us He will, and we can go forth rejoicing, experiencing a new freedom, joy and peace.

l Corintians 6:19, 20 tells us that our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost who is in us and we are not our own for we are bought with a price. Jesus Christ shed His Blood for us on the cross to pay for our sins. We are to glorify God in our body and in our spirit for we belong to God when we dedicate our lives to Him.

Throughout the day walk close to the Lord, personally talking to Him. He will lead and guide you and give you strength and comfort to choose the right way; His way.

The Blood of Jesus Christ

The blood of Jesus Christ is so important. There is power and forgiveness and new life in His blood.

Hebrews 9:7 "but into the tabernacle went the high priest alone once every year with the sacrificed blood of animals which he offered for himself and for the errors; sins of the people."

Hebrews 9:14 "how much more shall the blood of Christ who, through the eternal Spirit, offered Himself without spot to God."

Hebrews 10:4, 12, 19, 20 "for it is not possible that the blood of animals should take away sins...but Jesus Christ the Lamb of God offered Himself as the true sacrifice for our sins. We now have boldness to enter into the holy of holies by the blood of Jesus Christ...by a new and living way, which he has made...a way for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh."

In the Old Testament the best animal had to be sacrificed by the priest and the blood of that animal covered the sins of the person who confessed their wrongs. Many animals died but God made a way for Jesus Christ to shed His blood on the cross so our sins could be forgiven.

When we personally tell Jesus that we believe in Him and we are truly sorry for all our wrongs, He will forgive us. There is power in His blood to forgive sins.

1 Peter 1:18-19 "we know that we were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and spot. Jesus Christ is pure and holy and without sin. He is our Saviour, our God."

Ephesians 1:17 "in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace."

1 Corinthians 2:24-30 are verses read at communion. We remember that Christ suffered and shed His blood on the cross but rose again and is alive today in Spirit. We can personally talk to Him and find comfort, strength and guidance in His presence.

We sing a familiar hymn, "Are You Washed in the Blood of the Lamb?" I pray you will know how important the blood of Jesus Christ is. You can find freedom and peace in knowing your sins are forgiven through His blood. You do not have to live with tormenting guilt and shame.

Surrender your life to Jesus and love Him with all your heart for He loves you and has good plans for your life.

Things God Wants You to Know

Is the Bible Holy and True?

Yes, the Bible is the holy and true word of God.

Psalm 119:89
Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven.

Isaiah 40:8
The grass and flowers fade, but the word of our God shall stand forever.

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away but My words shall not pass away.

2 Peter 1:21
Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is for our learning and help to change us.

Psalm 119:11
Your word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against You.

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Deuteronomy 28
Those who live a life pleasing to God will be blessed, but those who rebel against God will not be blessed.

God loves people and He wants them to have a happy and blessed life if they follow the Bible, which is a road map for daily living.

If we all lived by the ten commandments, life on earth would be a much better place.

Exodus 20:3-17 The Ten Commandments
Thou shall not make any graven images or idols and worship and bow down to them. No adultery. Don't take the name of the Lord in vain. Don't use it as a swear word. Respect the Lord's day. Honour your Father and Mother. Don't kill or steal or lie or have greed and be envious of what others have.

Things God Wants You to Know

Will There Be Joy in Heaven?

Luke 15:7
I say unto you that joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repents on earth.

Isaiah 25:4, 8
God will wipe away all tears from their eyes, no more sorrow, crying or death.

There is no darkness or night in heaven;

Revelation 22:5
There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

God is Light and in Him is no darkness. Jesus is the Light of the world. The Glory of the Lord will light up heaven.

Things God Wants You to Know

What Does the Bible Say About Heaven?

People wonder what heaven is like and they ask if there will be streets of gold or pearly gates there. They wonder if we will be able to recognize one another. They ask if babies will be there. Heaven is a very real and wonderful place and those who believe and know Jesus Christ personally will be there.

Luke 10:20
Rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

John 11:25, 26
Whoever believes in Me shall never die. Christ is the resurrection and the life.

John 14:1-6
Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In My Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto Myself that where I am there you shall  be also. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but through me."

Things God Wants You to Know

Who is the Holy Spirit?

Jesus did not want to leave His followers alone so He sent His Holy Spirit to be with them after He went to heaven.

John 14:16-17
Jesus said, I pray the Father and He will give you another Comforter that He may abide with you forever--even the Spirit of Truth whom the world cannot receive because it sees Him not, neither knows Him, but you know Him for He dwells with you and shall be in you.

Those who personally receive Christ into their hearts receive the Holy Spirit and those who reject him do not have His Spirit.

John 14:26
But the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled nor afraid.

The Holy Spirit will comfort you so that you never need to feel lost or lonely. The Holy Spirit will give you strength and joy and wisdom and He will guide you each day as you talk to Him personally.

Luke 12:12
The Holy Spirit will teach you and help you to speak.

Acts 16:6
The Holy Ghost warned the disciples not to go to Asia.

Romans 8:13
For as many as are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.

1 John 4:13
We know that we dwell in Him and He in us because He has given us His Spirit.

Angels Singing

An excerpt from my book entitled, Poems From the Heart.

I hear the chorus of angels singing;
In my ears their sweet voices ringing.

I see the white clouds and blue sky above,
And wonder of Holy Spirit like a dove

Upon my Saviour, Jesus, descending
To earth, God all powerful sending,

His power, strength and peace so fills us
And abiding in us so we stand for what is just.

Rise up and step out and like Christ be,
And listen and open your eyes to see.

Speak his words of light and truth,
So hatred and bitterness cannot take root.

Things God Wants You to Know

Is Jesus God?

John 21:27-29
Thomas touched Jesus' nail-print hands after Jesus came back to life and then in amazement Thomas said to Jesus, "My Lord and My God."

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child (Jesus) is born and unto us a Son is given and the government shall be upon His shoulder and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.

John 1:1, 4
In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God and the Word (Jesus) was God. Verse 4: All things were made by Him

Put Christ first in your life and home and love and worship Him.

Running to and Fro

From the book Poems From the Heart, by Marlene Wilkinson.

People running to and fro,
So busy with their cares and woes.

I have so much to speak to you today;
Won't you be still, listen and pray?

I see you with your worries and tears;
Come, sit beside Me, and I'll calm your fears.

I am your mighty God and everlasting Friend,
And into your heart My peace I will send.

Instead of running here and there, to and fro,
Open the Bible that tells you I love you so.

Lean on My strong arm and find perfect rest,
For in Me your life will be full and blessed.

Weary and worn, fall at My feet;
I'll pick you up to sit at My seat.

I'll meet your need in My time;
Just talk and sit with Me and dine.

Things God Wants You to Know

Is there power and importance in the Blood of Jesus Christ?

Matthew 26:28
The Blood of Jesus was shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.

I John 1: 7-9
If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, guilt and shame.

There is an old hymn that has been sung over the years and the words are,

"Would you be free from your burden of sin,
there is Power in the Blood,
Power in the Blood."

Be Kind

From the book Poems From the Heart, by Marlene Wilkinson.

Be Kind

Everywhere we look there is hatred and greed,
So many people with prideful needs.

Think of others and be kind;
Then you will have a peaceful mind.

It's not about always getting;
That only brings strife and fretting.

Don't be critical and want to control,
But let respect for others be your goal.

Let all nagging and harshness go.
Instead let gentleness and peace flow.

Yet be wise and strong too;
Those who are honest are few.

Let your words and thoughts be pure and clean,
And a good example to others be seen.

People will say, I want to be like them;
They are such a bright, shining gem.

I can trust what they say;
They walk according to God's way.

They don't swear or steal or lie;
Their life of integrity is seen on high.

Things God Wants You to Know

Many people have questions and God wants to answer them.

Is Jesus Christ the only way to get to heaven and the only one who will forgive us of our sins?

John 14:6
Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father but through Me."

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever should believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 10:9
I am the Door; by Me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved.

Romans 10:9-10
If you will say with your mouth that you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead you shall be saved.

John 3:3
Jesus said to Nicodemus, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

John 10:10-1, 14, 27
The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy but I come so that they might have abundant life. I am the good Shepherd and I give My life for My sheep. I know My sheep and they know me. My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me.

You must believe in Jesus to get to heaven and only He can forgive you of your sins for there is power in His shed Blood. Some people think that good works will get them to heaven, but that is not so. You must believe in Jesus Christ and repent and ask Him to forgive you.

Where Have All the Honest People Gone?

An excerpt from my book entitled, Poems From the Heart.

Where have all the honest people gone?
Those who are full of integrity,
And their word is their word.
They have high standards and morals.
They don't cheat and lie;
They are an example to those passing by.
Their family can look up to them.
Friends and neighbours and kin.
They hold up a standard;
Stand against wrong and stand for right.
They hate injustice and injustice fight.
They are loyal friends to the very end.
They stand for God and the Bible;
They are faithful and true.
They walk tall, yet are kind and humble.
They are strong and wise
And trust in Mighty God.
We need more ones like these;
Will you be that one?
Yes, you.

Things God Wants You to Know

End Time Message

There are things God wants you to know. God wants his people to hear what the Spirit is says. God's people perish without knowledge, wisdom and revelation from the Bible and by listening to the Holy Spirit. There are many things that God wants you to know so you must have ears to hear what the Spirit says.

The days are getting more wicked and troublesome and the only thing we an do is fully trust in Jesus Christ and His words. Everything else is sinking sand and only Christ can be our firm foundation.

Fear is gripping the hearts of people all over the world. There is instability everywhere. The economy is not secure. People cannot depend on the government or banks to take care of them. Do not depend on your welfare or pension check or health care to help you. They are here today but could be gone tomorrow.

Depend of Jesus Christ who is a firm foundation. God has his true followers and prophets that are coming forth and blowing the trumpet, warning people to turn away from sin and surrender to Christ. Rid your lives of all rebellion, selfishness and greed and put Christ first. The wages of sin is death. Now is the time, for the alarm is sounding. Hear what the Spirit says. Have ears to hear. Do not cover your ears but hear.

God has so much to tell you. Choose Christ and choose life. This is the End Time Message that God has called the people to God to proclaim.

God wants to prepare the Bride; His Church. Get rid of the stench of the world, Bride, and clean up and wash your garments through repentance and the Holy Word. Let the Holy Ghost quicken and stir and convict you and truly see the state you are in and repent and hear what the Spirit says.

The time is urgent. There is no time to waste. There are many things God wants you to know. Do not live for self but live for Christ.
