Message on Revival

We have heard of the great awakenings, renewals and times of refreshing when revival moved upon individual hearts.  So many people are calling out for revival, but what does it really mean to "get revived"?

Revival means bringing back that which was once dead.  God tells us in Revelation 3:15, 16 that he does not want us to be lukewarm or complacent.  God tells us to be fervent in prayer, and that means being excited about the things of God.  It means not taking Him for granted but, instead, to have a thankful heart.  You cannot experience revival if you continually grumble and complain.

The Holy Spirit is a person who moves upon people like a mighty wind, like a gentle breeze, like rain, or like a flood that brings conviction and repentance.  With conviction comes the revelation that God is Holy and He wants His people to be holy and to love righteousness.
Revival comes through preaching that centers on the cross, on the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, on heaven and on hell.  There is joy in following Christ, but you will suffer when you take up your cross.

Revival starts in each person's heart as he/she worships, prays and studies the Bible.  To be fervent in prayer means to talk to Him personally with a heart of love and passion.  You know your heart is being revived when you desire a Christ-like attitude toward those around you--an attitude of patience, gentleness and honesty.  Revival means dying to selfish wants and surrendering to the guidance of the Holy Spirit as Christ's plan for your life is revealed.  Love for your Savior grows stronger, and you yearn to share your faith with others.  Witnessing brings joy to your heart as others hear the truth that will set them free.  We are all called to witness when we are born again.

We love the move of the Holy Spirit, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  Tears of conviction and gratitude flow as hearts rejoice in the knowledge of Christ's mercy and forgiveness.  Hearts are so filled with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit's love that they dance like King David did.  They laugh and weep.  They drink of the Living Water that bubbles up inside them and brings great release.

About His Way Ministries Regina

Pastor/Evangelist Marlene Wilkinson welcomes you to His Way Ministries in Regina Canada.
His Way Ministries is a place where people are encouraged and trained to preach, teach, and share what the Holy Spirit has put on their heart.

His Way Ministries was founded by Pastor Marlene Wilkinson in 1993 in Regina, Saskatchewan. "I felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to name the ministry, 'His Way'. God wants us to follow Him and His way. His sheep hear his voice and know Him and follow Him, John 10:27. Jesus is the only way to heaven and to have our sins forgiven. John 14:6 states, Jesus said 'I am the Way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but through Me'. God's way is the best way. Not our way but His way."

"Our meetings are held every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. People come from all over the city of Regina and surrounding area to attend. We love the move of the Holy Spirit for in His presence is fullness of joy, conviction and freedom."

"My husband Jack plays the piano, sings and exhorts people. We are told that his music brings healing and calmness. At times, as people listen to him they are moved to tears and feel the tender touch of the Lord upon their hearts." See Jack in the video below:
